3.2MW permanent magnet synchronous wind-power generators

With further increase of single unit’ s capacity, semi-direct drive methods are widely applied in low-speed permanent magnet synchronous wind turbines. Although direct drive wind turbines are highly recommend for the advantages such as low noise and low cost in maintenance, they are always big and heavy, and the increase of capacity leads to obvious problem in transportation and installation. Then semi-directive drive wind turbines, of which medium-speed transmission mechanism is applied to reduce the size and weight, appear to be the best solutions. Under this circumstance, 3.2MW series permanent magnet synchronous wind turbine is developed.

Main technical characteristics

  • The IC666 cooling method brings excellent cooling effect and high efficiency, and more power was saved;
  • With IP54 protection grade and class F insulation, plus the inherent merit of permanent magnet, the generator performs well for its high efficiency and reliability;
  • The bearing is relubricated automatically, which means convenience e for maintenance;
  • Real-time monitoring of winding temperature rise is achieved with temperature transducers installed besides the windings;
  • A heating belt is used to prevent the end region of winding from frosting;
